(PRESS RELEASE) After working together for half a decade in a traditional customer/manufacturer relationship, Wolfgang Man & Beast and pet industry veterans Coastal Pet Products have entered into a hybrid sales force arrangement designed to continue positioning Wolfgang with marquee retailers and distributors worldwide.

“What started as an arrangement to have world-class product built in the U.S. by a great factory,” says Todd Finney, Vice President at Wolfgang, “has become a strong business relationship based on mutual respect and an understanding of each party’s strengths. This new arrangement is an opportunity for each of us to maximize those strengths and get more eyes on Wolfgang.”

Under this new arrangement, sales efforts will be divided based on retail channel, territory, and of course customer preferences. “It takes years to build a great customer base, and we’ve done a pretty good job of it,” says Wolfgang founder, Jeremy Murray. “The Coastal sales force has long-term relationships with quality retailers who will extend the reach of the Wolfgang line.”

The 2018 Wolfgang product line will be featured at Global Pet Expo in the Coastal Pet Products booth #1735, and features exciting new product collaborations and prints designed to build interest and connect with discerning consumers.

For its part, Coastal Pet Products, this year celebrating its 50th anniversary, brings their five decades of sales and manufacturing experience in the pet industry to the table with a plan to offer Wolfgang Man & Beast to some of their long-established retail partners. The addition of the Wolfgang product line to its existing lineup of world-class products gives Coastal an opportunity to reach new consumer demographics and leverage their manufacturing expertise with a strong, USA-made offering. “Our team is excited to share our craftsmanship and retail relationships in support of the Wolfgang brand,” said Kim Stout, President of Coastal Pet Products.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
