On October 21, Messer made history by debuting the first-ever grief product on QVC: her innovative Grieving Affirmation Cards, designed specifically for pet owners mourning the loss of their beloved companions.
Inspired by her own experience of losing her cherished cat Wolfgang, affectionately known as Wolfie, during the height of the pandemic, Messer created these cards as a personal tool for healing. The deck offered thoughtful, comforting affirmations to help guide grieving pet owners through the emotional process of loss, providing solace during a time of deep distress.
“Like so many others, I faced tremendous heartbreak when I lost my pet, who had been my constant companion during a time of unprecedented uncertainty,” Messer shared. “Wolfie’s loss left me devastated, and I realized there weren’t enough simple, accessible resources to help people like me cope with the grief that comes with losing a pet. I created the Wolfie’s Wish Grieving Affirmation Cards to offer the kind of support I needed at that time.”
