(PRESS RELEASE) LOS ANGELES — Puppies, Santa and celebrities were gathered at the W Hollywood in Southern California this weekend for the Pups Without Borders (PWB) annual Howliday Gala and Fundraiser. Actors and pet advocates Ron Perlman and Haley Joel Osment hosted the event and SoCal-based premium dog food brand Zignature announced its commitment to support the rescue organization’s mission with a $40,000 donation and one-year supply of its Puppy Formula and premium dog food.
Daniel Hereford, President and CEO of Pets Global, Inc., maker of Zignature, presented the check to Founder and President of Pups Without Borders, Eve Banuelos, during the fundraising portion of the event, pushing the donation counter over the rescue organization’s goal of $100,000. The partnership reflects the family-owned company’s goal of helping pets live longer, healthier lives through quality products like its new, meat-first, limited-ingredient Puppy Formula.
“The fact that we have a food that’s specifically for puppies is amazing,” said Banuelos. “We’d buy about ten bags a month on our own and it’s $50 to $100 per bag. Not only did Zignature just help us reach our goal, but we are going to save thousands and thousands of dollars on food. You’re gonna get so many puppy kisses, you have no idea.”

In addition to the puppy kisses from several rescued litters, guests enjoyed a gourmet buffet, photos with Santa Tim, the opportunity to win prizes including stays at the Four Seasons Resort in Maui and Los Cabos, and Hotel Bel Air, and the uniquely appropriate chance to try Irlandés Tequila, “the Spirit that Unites.”
“Pups Without Borders cares for arguably the most vulnerable pet population: Pregnant moms and puppies,” said Ellie Mosser, Community Relations Specialist at Pets Global. “The critical time period of gestation to eight weeks is make or break for the health of mom and puppies, especially for those going through the public shelter system or living on the streets. We are proud to partner with PWB to support their impressive efforts, and give these moms and babies the critical nutrition they need to thrive in their new lives.”
