13 Pets Give This Store Owner Purpose and Bring Him Joy

Gregory Dadd
E.M. Dodger’s Pet Supply & Bath House, Ruther Glen, VA

Do his 13 pets — nine pictured here — make Gregory Dadd crazy? Not at all. In fact, they give him purpose and bring him joy. When his French Bulldog Dodger developed intervertebral disc disease at just 4 years old, he became interested in pet nutrition. Dadd opened his store and grooming salon, named for Dodger and fellow Frenchie Emma, in 2015. Sadly, Emma has since passed, but Dodger still races around on wheels, now with fellow parapalygic Seath. Dadd looks forward to 2022, when he will expand into boarding, day care and training under the new name Dodger’s Play & Stay. And perhaps foster fail … again.
