Garth Pierce Merrick, founder of Merrick Pet Care, has died.

He was 75, reports Digital Colorado News.

Merrick founded the company in 1998 in Hereford, TX.

He “loved helping others and donated to ministries and organizations all over the country any chance he got,” according to the report.

Merrick was a faithful board member at Marriage Today Ministries and Church Loans International and an elder at Trinity Fellowship Church, according to his obituary published at Legacy.com.

“He was a lover of all kinds of animals going as far as owning everything from antelope to wallabies,” according to the obituary.
