(PRESS RELEASE) STAMFORD, CT – Andy Darmohraj, American Pet Products Association executive vice president and COO, announces a special education session and breakfast hosted by the APPA Young Professionals, featuring speaker Connor Lokar. The event is set to take place during Global Pet Expo at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL, on Friday, March 22, at 7:45 a.m.
“As future leaders of the pet industry, it is important that young professionals have a firm understanding of the economy and its impact on the pet industry,” said Kaitlin Simonfay-Stewart, manager of trade show operations for APPA and a founding member of the APPA YPs. “Connor Lorkar’s economic insight, forecasting expertise and ability to easily connect with the next generation make him the ideal speaker to address the subject.”
During the session, Lokar will share a detailed analysis of what to expect from the economy in 2019 and beyond, covering topics such as pet industry trends, business to business activity, trade, labor market trends, inflation, interest rates and more.
Lokar is a Program Economist at ITR Economics. With speaking engagements around the world, he provides economic consulting services for businesses, trade associations and Fortune 500 Companies across a spectrum of industries.
As the pet industry’s first-ever young professional organization, the APPA YP’s mission is to promote career path development of young professionals in the pet industry through networking and education opportunities.
