Bubbly Paws Announces Third Franchise Location

(PRESS RELEASE) MINNEAPOLIS – Bubbly Paws, a self-service dog wash and full-service dog grooming salon, is announcing its third franchise location in Florida, just outside Fort Lauderdale in Weston.

This franchise is owned by Heather Zumarraga, a former Fox News Business reporter and author.

Zumarraga has worked in the corporate world her entire career but is excited to pivot into the pet industry. “The pet grooming business can be a profitable endeavor but if you don’t have passion for what you’re doing, there’s no longevity,” states Zumarraga. As a HarperCollins author of The Man’s Guide to Corporate Culture, Zumarraga says, “The best perk of this career shift is not having to wear a suit and heels to work every day.”

Co-founder and co-owner Keith Miller is equally as excited about Zumarraga’s career change. “When we first talked to Heather, her true passion for the pet industry came through and I knew immediately that she was a great fit for the Bubbly Paws brand,” he shares.

“As a former CNBC contributor, I understand the importance of looking and feeling your best and the same is true for our four-legged family members,” says Zumarraga. “South Floridians LOVE their dogs and while there is a strong demand for upscale pet services, the options for high-quality, trustworthy care is scarce. My neighbors don’t want a mobile grooming van parked outside their house with limited booking capacity. They want to drop off their furry friends at a clean, safe and fun-loving location that’s dependable and convenient.”

Bubbly Paws has two other franchise locations in the works in Florida in Hialeah and Sturt. “I am so excited to grow our pawprint in Florida and to get to know the pet community,” states Miller. Bubbly Paws also has stores in Minneapolis and Boise, and franchise locations in the works in Charlotte, Long Island, Houston, and Dallas.

Bubbly Paws is a one-of-a-kind concept featuring self-service tubs where dog parents can come in, bathe their dog-children, and leave the mess behind. Their bright, ‘bubbly’ feel is modeled after elevated hair salons and, with an array of grooming services, customers have a variety of luxury options to choose from.

Miller and his wife, co-owner Patrycia Miller, opened the first Bubbly Paws location in 2011 after getting fed up with the hair and mess left over after every bath and brushing in their own home with their Bernese Mountain Dog, Roxy. The concept was designed to take the headache out of dog grooming for everyone while retaining the personal touch at bathtime.
