Chicken Soup for the Soul Pet Food Fills Fox Valley Humane Association’s New Warehouse with over 14,000 Pounds of Premium Pet Food Just in Time for the Holidays

(PRESS RELEASE) COS COB, CT – Chicken Soup for the Soul Pet Food, a leading super premium pet food company, delivered 14,355 pounds of their nutritious pet food this month to help feed animals at the Fox Valley Humane Association (FVHA) in Appleton, WI. The donation is part of the pet food company’s Fill A Bowl… Feed A SoulTM (FABFAS) program, a national campaign targeting one million free meals for shelter pets annually.

“After speaking with FVHA, we learned that they had recently taken in many pets displaced by Hurricane Harvey as well as dogs from the Korean dog meat market,” said Jeanne Blandford, Director of Marketing for Chicken Soup for the Soul Pet Food. “We also discovered they had built a warehouse over the summer that stood empty and thought it would be incredible to fill it with our premium pet food. We are thrilled to have been able to help this special community feed their pets in need just in time for the holidays!”

“Without the support of companies like Chicken Soup for the Soul Pet Food, we would not be able to save the lives of nearly as many animals in need. This year we have saved over 6500 pets, and their extremely generous donation of pet food will allow us to help even more in 2018! Words can simply not express our gratitude for what Chicken Soup for the Soul has done for the Fox Valley Humane Association and the animals in our care,” said Jamie Thiel volunteer coordinator for FVHA.

“Chicken Soup for the Soul’s FABFAS program was created to help feed pets in need nationwide,” said Chris Mitchell, Chicken Soup for the Soul Pet Food CEO. “We are so pleased to help FVHA and their pets with this donation. We believe that every pet should enjoy the benefits of premium nutrition. Healthy pets are happy pets and more readily adoptable,” said Mr. Mitchell.

In addition to the 14,355-pound donation to Fox Valley, Chicken Soup for the Soul Pet Food recently distributed more than 110,000 pounds to Hurricane Harvey relief efforts and has donated approximately 1.5 million nutritious meals to pets in need nationwide since beginning this initiative in June of 2016.
