DOOG Announces Plan to Move Majority of Manufacturing to US

(PRESS RELEASE) CARROLLTON , TX — Dog Owners Outdoor Gear announced that it is taking measures to move all of its manufacturing from China and India to the U.S. The first announcement is the new DOOG Fetchables line that is now made in Pennsylvania.

“Moving production to the U.S. makes better business sense for DOOG in a number of ways,” said Jamie Knight, DOOG’s CEO and co-founder. “With this decision, we’re actually able to reduce our costs by limiting import tariffs and duties and also avoiding costly overseas transport costs, while still paying above market wages to the factory workers in the USA.”

Knight added: “By further increasing our production to the US will allow the DOOG to have better control over inventory management, already high product quality and to be more involved on a daily basis with the product development process.

“As we are seeing an increased demand for DOOG products we need to quickly react to the market and more closely oversee quality and development as we grow.”
