(PRESS RELEASE) WINDSOR, CT – The Happy Cat Hotel & Spa, the only U.S. franchised pet day-care concept dedicated solely for our feline companions, announces the awarding of its first franchise operation. The Happy Cat Hotel & Spa of Alexandria, VA, will open for business following a grand opening ceremony planned for Nov. 14.
Leanne McRoberts and Jackie Warbis are co-owners of their new 20-room, feline-exclusive luxury hotel and grooming center. They’ve secured a building lease in the Duke Street Center in Alexandria, VA., located at 2391 South Dove St. and will begin accepting reservations soon for the dates of Nov. 15 and beyond.

The concept was created a few years back by Chris & Meg Raimo, who previously ran a home-based pet visitation service. Alarmed by the withdrawn and unsettled behavior visible in a majority of cats on their rounds, the duo decided to branch out and create a daycare facility strictly for felines. As the brand states— it’s neither a cattery, nor a kennel, but rather a luxurious feline oasis, where cats can enjoy the same level of attention and care as seen in the overwhelming number of canine-focused daycares.
The Happy Cat Hotel & Spa is coming off of its busiest summer season ever and is currently developing additional franchise expansion opportunities in New York, Texas and Connecticut.
