GOLD STAR DISTRIBUTION INC.
On Dec. 26, Gold Star Distribution, Inc. announced a recall of a variety of products due to the presence of rodent and avian contamination. The 44-page list included products from multiple pet brands, including 9 Lives, Purina, Fancy Feast, Friskies, Meow Mix and Tidy Cat. Impacted stores are in Minnesota, Indiana and North Dakota. CONSUMERS SUPPLY DISTRIBUTING, LLC
On Dec. 24, Consumers Supply Distributing, LLC of Sioux City, IA, announced a recall of its 4-pound bags of Country Vet Biscuits – Original Meaty Flavor and 4-pound bags of Heartland Harvest Dog Biscuits – Meaty Flavor with Chicken because they have the potential to be contaminated with salmonella. CARGILL ANIMAL NUTRITION & HEALTH
On Dec. 9, Cargill Animal Nutrition & Health announced a voluntary recall of a single lot of Nutrena Country Feeds Cracked Corn for livestock because it may contain aflatoxin levels that exceed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) action level for immature animals, wildlife, equines, small ruminants and dairy animals. FROMM FAMILY FOODS
On Dec. 3, Fromm Family Foods announced a voluntary recall of its Bonnihill BeefiBowls Food for Dogs due to potential foreign material contamination. The recall affects products distributed at neighborhood pet stores in Illinois, Wisconsin, Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Louisiana, California, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Alaska, and Canada, in the Province of Ontario.
