LUCKY & LADY Develops Location-Based Tool to Link Desperate Pet Owners with Care

(PRESS RELEASE) ATLANTA – In response to the growing COVID-19 crisis, LUCKY & LADY, Atlanta’s leader in innovative pet care, announced the development of an online resource aimed at connecting pet parents with veterinary care and essential pet supplies. Dozens of local animal welfare groups and clinics are now mapped by location, along with national sources of funding and other assistance.

The coronavirus outbreak, orders to stay at home, and the resulting financial crisis are creating a growing need for support among pet parents. Company owners, noticing a rise in desperate social media posts, built the site in two days.

“Often the best, most-rapid source of help for pet parents is local. Our hope is to make that connection easier, less stressful,” said Ryan Deal, president of LUCKY & LADY.

The information can be accessed here. Users will experience an expandable map of resources, clinics, pet food banks, and low or no-cost veterinary services. Additional resources include links to national organizations with missions to support special populations, including veterans, the disabled and those in jeopardy of losing their homes.

“Keeping pet families together and healthy is a core part of our vision. And since we closed, I’ve been looking for ways to help.”

LUCKY & LADY temporarily closed on March 18, 2020 to promote urgent social distancing requirements.

Direct link to resources is found here.
