Martha Stewart to Help Develop CBD Pet Products

Lifestyle expert Martha Stewart has joined cannabis and hemp company Canopy Growth Corp. in an advisory role to help with developing and positioning a new line of products across multiple categories.

With several clinical trials underway, Canopy will lean on Stewart’s knowledge of consumer products while exploring the effectiveness of CBD and other cannabinoids for humans and animals, according to a release from Canopy and Sequential Brands Group Inc.

“I am delighted to establish this partnership with Canopy Growth and share with them the knowledge I have gained after years of experience in the subject of living,” Stewart said. “I’m especially looking forward to our first collaboration together, which will offer sensible products for people’s beloved pets.”

Bruce Linton, chairman and co-CEO of Canopy, said, “As soon as you hear the name Martha, you know exactly who we’re talking about.

Canopy previously reported that it will invest between $100 million and $150 million in a hemp industrial park in New York State with the purpose of being the company’s first hemp facility in the U.S.
