Pet Retail and Grooming Center to Open 4 to 8 Locations in 2018

The company is on a growth streak.

DENVER — Wag N’ Wash Natural Food & Bakery, a specialty retail and grooming center for cats and dogs, plans to open at least four locations in 2018.

They’ll be located in Monument, CO, Broomfield, CO, Redmond, WA and Minneapolis, MN, according to a press release.

In fact, between development deals that have already been signed and pending signings in the coming months, Wag N’ Wash hopes to open four to eight new stores across the country by the end of the year. There are currently 16 locations open and operating throughout Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, New Jersey, Maryland, Minnesota, Texas, Kentucky and Washington.

“Since launching our franchise opportunity in 2006 we have seen tremendous growth and anxiously look forward to carrying this momentum into 2018 and beyond,” said Jef Strauss, co-founder of Wag N’ Wash. “As we continue to expand our footprint nationally, our primary goal of providing unmatched support for our existing franchisees remains, while concentrating on our mission of enhancing the quality of life for companion pets and their guardians.”

“Along with our focus on all-natural pet food, treats, supplements and various unique products, Wag N’ Wash also focuses on maintaining a first-class franchise that provides support to each and every franchisee,” said Strauss. “As we continue to expand, I see more and more new faces – human and animal alike – come into our stores, and the excitement they express is authentic. More than just the success of our locations, we are so proud to provide a unique and positive service to our communities that people need and love.”

The average investment to own and operate a Wag N’ Wash 3,500-4,200-square-foot store is about $638,420. This includes the franchise fee of $40,000, build-out costs, training expenses, the first three months of rent, furniture, signage, computer equipment, inventory and supplies, initial advertising and grand opening costs. Three- and five-unit agreements are also available to select and qualifying candidates.
