PETS+ Print Design Recognized With Prestigious Neal Award Nomination

Montclair, NJ — March 3, 2026 — PETS+ magazine has been named a finalist for the 72nd Jesse H. Neal Awards, the most prestigious honors in business-to-business journalism. Often referred to as the “Pulitzers of B2B media,” the Neal Awards are presented annually by SIIA Media to recognize editorial excellence across hundreds of industries.

PETS+ was recognized in the following category:

  • Best Feature Design (Print): PETS+ Big Survey, presented to Victor Cantal, Group Design Editor, and Pamela Mitchell, Editor-in-Chief.

“We have become known for our exceptional design, with Group Design Editor Victor Cantal regularly creating works of art to accompany lead stories,” said PETS+ Editor-in-Chief Pamela Mitchell. “For the Nov-Dec Big Survey, his illustrations used an amusement park theme to capture the current ups and downs of the pet industry. He turned a statistics-heavy story into a fun read!”

Parent company SmartWork Media also earned a finalist nod for sister publication INSTORE for Best Feature Design (Digital) for its 2025 Big Survey Online.

“These nominations reflect the talent and dedication of our editorial and design teams across our publications,” said Matthijs Braakman, CEO of SmartWork Media. “When you give creative people the freedom to push boundaries, this is what happens.”

The 72nd Jesse H. Neal Awards will be presented on Apr. 21 at a ceremony at The Yale Club in New York City.
