Scenthound Partners with Nationally Ranked Groomer Society

(PRESS RELEASE) JUPITER, FL – Scenthound, a new franchise in the $75 billion professional pet industry, is announcing its partnership with Groomer Society, a grooming education resource dedicated to teaching and enabling groomers to strengthen their skills.

As Scenthound continues to expand – currently with six locations in various stages of development throughout Florida – the dog grooming franchise sought out this partnership to educate their new employees efficiently and to the highest quality. Groomer Society will be supplying educational videos to Scenthound employees, taught by highly ranked groomer Joshua Morales.

Morales, a two-time Nationally Ranked Pet Styling Competitor, began his grooming career 10 years ago before deciding to become an instructor and get involved with grooming competitions. Since then, he has become a Master Certified Groomer with The National Dog Groomers Association of America and a Certified Member with the International Society of Canine Cosmetologists. He got involved with Groomer Society to serve as an education resource and help other aspiring groomers. The brand produces training webinars to help groomers of all levels master anything from basic techniques to advanced grooming styles.

Scenthound focuses on wellness-based grooming while providing an inclusive grooming membership plan for all breeds of dogs. While many associate the idea of dog grooming with haircuts, Scenthound’s grooming model hits all five core areas of maintenance: Skin, Coat, Ears, Nails and Teeth. Since some, but not all dogs need haircuts, the brand offers a simple, one-length allover haircut as an optional add-on.

“This is an exciting partnership because we get to be involved with a brand that is changing dogs’ lives with a mission to keep all breeds healthy,” Morales said. “Our digital curriculum will be used to train franchise partners as well as new Scenthound employees so that each team member is prepared to give every dog the care that they need.”

Scenthound was founded in 2015 after CEO Tim Vogel spent more than 10 years running both a mobile grooming business and local grooming “scenters”, and seeing first-hand the shortcomings within a booming pet industry and the lack of education surrounding dog grooming. Vogel began a mission to give dogs and their owners a fast, easy, and affordable grooming solution with scenters that provide a haircut, but more importantly, focus on a dog’s health.

“As we continue to expand, we decided that partnering with Groomer Society would be the most effective way to train all of our new team members and ensure that they receive the highest-quality education available,” said Vogel. “Not only is it efficient for the business, but also a great experience for our new team members to learn from such an experienced and highly-ranked groomer.”
