This Vet Singing to a Nervous Dog Is All You Need Today — Watch the Video

The pooch was about to have surgery.

Some people were born to work with animals, and Dr. Ross Henderson is clearly one of them.

He’s attracted tons of social media attention over the past week because of a video in which he sings to a patient, Today reports.

The veterinarian noticed that a canine named Ruby, who was about to undergo spay surgery, seemed nervous. So he took out his trusty guitar and played Elvis Presley’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love.”

Apparently it helped. Throughout the song, Ruby lies quietly in Henderson’s lap and looks to be on the verge of sleep.

The 28-year-old vet, who practices at Fox Hollow Animal Hospital in Lakewood, CO, sings to other animals, as well, including the office cat. He says they deserve the extra attention because of their love for and devotion to humans.
