6 Husky Pups Stolen From Groomer in Virginia

Six puppies were stolen from a pet grooming business in Hampton, VA, on Friday.

The incident happened at Critter Cleaners pet salon, The Associated Press reports. Four of the dogs, which are two weeks old, have been recovered so far.

A homeless man has been charged with several crimes in connection with the theft, including breaking into the business and animal larceny.

The man was observed on security footage making a meal, having a shower in the dog bathing area, watching TV and “ransacking the shop,” AP reports.

The remaining two puppies are still being sought. Bandi Murdock, owner of Critter Cleaners, said it’s crucial that the dogs be returned because they need to be nursed by their mother until they’re four weeks old.
