Brazilian Pet Supplies Firm Opens US HQ

WESTPORT, CT – Petix, maker of WizSmart, has opened a U.S. headquarters.

The Brazilian-based company, which introduced its first SKU in the U.S. in 2017, has established an office in Westport, CT.

Petix manufactures WizSmart Premium Super Absorbent Dog Pads.

The company stated in a press release that it “transforms more than 120 million unused diapers each year into an exclusive and super absorbent blend” for its pads.

As part of its expansion in the U.S., Petix has added Frontier Distributing as a partner.

The partnership “will bring WizSmart pads to a wide range of pet specialty retailers, ranging from single store independent operators to multi-store, multi-state operations, in Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio,” according to the release.

“We have experienced a great deal of growth in the recent years and opening our U.S. headquarters will help our brand establish stronger relationships with both our retail partners and customers here in the states,” said Krister Holm, general manager of Petix.

“We’re also very excited to partner with a well-respected wholesale distributor such as Frontier. With more than 30 years experience distributing pet foods and related supplies, we are confident that this partnership will help broaden the opportunities in the North American market for WizSmart.”
