(PRESS RELEASE) Champion Petfoods, maker of ACANA and ORIJEN dog and cat foods, has expanded its nutritious lineup of ACANA dog food, introducing four unique biologically appropriate formulas. All are complements to the existing ACANA Singles and Regionals lines and are infused with wholesome grains to provide pet lovers with more choices.
The new ACANA Singles limited-ingredient foods feature 60 percent duck or lamb ingredients as a single, easily digestible animal protein that’s perfect for dogs with sensitivities. They are formulated with WholePrey — meat, organs, and cartilage — which deliver essential nutrition and include whole fresh pumpkin to support digestive health.
The new Regionals foods, available in free-run poultry or wild-caught fish, contain 70 percent animal ingredients from four to five animal protein sources in WholePrey ratios, mirroring a pet’s natural diet. They are also infused with freeze-dred liver, made in the company’s own freeze-dry kitchens, for guaranteed flavor and taste.
All the new diets showcase Champion’s proprietary blend of essential nutrients and vitamins comprised of seven forms of vitamin B, vitamin E, taurine and choline which are widely believed to support heart health.
Formulated to help address food sensitivities and enhance digestibility benefits in healthy dogs, these foods are gluten-free, legume-free and made with non-GMO ingredients. Instead, they feature regionally sourced wholesome grains (healthy oats and sorghum) that provide a great source of vitamins, minerals and fiber.
