The collaboration centers around Kit4Cat, Coastline Global’s patented, non-invasive feline urine collection system, together with CheckUp urine test strips, enabling veterinarians and pet owners to both collect and test urine samples either at home or in-clinic. This integrated approach supports early detection, follow-up diagnostics, and ongoing monitoring of feline health conditions such as diabetes mellitus or chronic kidney disease, including cats undergoing treatment with Senvelgo (velagliflozin oral solution).
By combining non-invasive sample collection with simple, reliable urine testing, the solution allows veterinarians to monitor key urinary parameters with minimal stress to the cat, improved compliance from pet owners, and greater continuity of care throughout the treatment journey.

Kit4Cat utilizes a patented hydrophobic litter that closely mimics the look and feel of regular sand, resulting in high acceptance by cats and allowing urine to remain on the surface for easy, passive collection. When paired with CheckUp urine test strips, veterinarians can select between screening options for early detection—such as glucose, ketones, and protein—and monitoring options designed for ongoing follow-up, such as checking ketones in diabetic cats’ urine managed with an SGLT2-inhibior.
