PITTSBURGH, PA – The Dog Stop, a franchise that offers daycare, grooming and other services, plans to open 10 to 12 new locations this year.

At present, the company has 10 locations spread across Pennslvania, Ohio, Louisiana and Delaware. It has signed franchise agreements for a total of more than 40 stores in Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Louisiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas, according to a press release published at Franchising.com.

In five years, company officials hope to have as many as 75 locations.

The Dog Stop’s services include daycare, boarding, grooming, obedience training, in-home services and dog walking, along with a retail store. It was founded in 2009 and started franchising in 2014.

“Most dog owners view them as part of the family and, as a result, are spending more money than ever on dog-related goods and services,” said CEO Jesse Coslov, who co-founded the brand with Chris Kane. “As dog owners ourselves, we understand the growing need to keep our dogs healthy, give them lots of love and socialization, and do what’s best for them.”
