(PRESS RELEASE) PHOENIX, AZ – DOGTV, the first television channel scientifically designed to relax and entertain canine viewers, has selected its second annual Dog Mom of the Year. With the help of a panel of five judges, DOGTV selected Shelby Mason of Columbus, OH, as its Dog Mom of the Year.
Nominated by her husband, Mason is dog mom to a senior Mastiff named Timmy and Chihuameranian named Dinky. As Wellness Coordinator at BARK, Mason plans wellness events for employees and customers. She also created the BARK Pup Companion support program for customers grieving the loss of a pet. In her spare time, Mason advocates for animal welfare organizations in her community. After pairing the entries down to the Top 10 Finalists, DOGTV enlisted the help of industry professionals to help select the Grand Prize Winner. Industry judges included Dr. Courtney Campbell, DVM and recipient of the 2020 Excellence in Journalism and Outstanding Contributions to the Pet Industry Award; Pamela Mitchell, editor-in-chief of PETS+, Kristen Levine, president of Kristen Levine Pet Living; Nancy Hassel, president and founder of American Pet Professionals; and Marika Meeks, 2019 Dog Mom of the Year and founder of Incredibull Stella.
