(Press Release) SOUTHPORT, CT — Earth Animal is expanding its product assortment with a new line of grain-free, sprout based cookies for dogs.

There are many types of treats being offered on the market today but what makes this line unique is that it is based on veterinary-formulated recipes with sprouts, serving as a spark plug for the immune system.

“Earth Animal’s new cookies were inspired by our own wholesome diets recommended from our home kitchen and holistic veterinary practice. Since 1979, we have always believed in organic foods and are devoted to finding and using the very best ingredients for our products. What’s good for our dogs is good for yours,” said Dr. Bob Goldstein, co-founder and co-CEO of Earth Animal.

Earth Animal cookies are sourced from organic farms and produced in the U.S. in a human-food bakery. They are grain and gluten free, void of soy, corn, or artificial flavors or colors.

Buckwheat flour (which is a plant seed), peanut butter, wild-raised salmon, fruits and vegetables are the main ingredients in the new line. Earth Animal is offering four flavors: Farmer’s Pick with pumpkin and chicken, Fisherman’s Catch with salmon and flax, Pizza Crisps with tomato and olive oil, and Fairground’s Best with coconut and peanut butter.

“We had been getting requests from our retailers asking for an everyday healthy treat that is versatile enough to use for training as well. They were a natural fit and have become a quick best-seller, enhancing our shelf space alongside our other products,” said Chris Moore, vice president of sales and marketing at Earth Animal.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
