(PRESS RELEASE) CHICAGO – Matrix Partners, a full-service agency that specializes exclusively in pet product marketing, has been named a recipient of a Graphic Design USA (GDUSA) Package Design Award for Montana Dog Food Co.’s complete line of dog food, treats and supplements. According to GDUSA, the 59th anniversary showcase reflects the increasingly expansive ways in which graphic design serves and shapes commerce and culture. Matrix’s creative team was recognized for the innovative packaging they designed on behalf of their new client, Montana Dog Food Co.
Matrix Partners worked closely with the Montana Dog Food Co. team to create an authentic picture of what pet parenting looks like in the state of Montana. The packaging was designed to make consumers feel as close to the atmosphere as possible – as if they themselves are enjoying the outdoor beauty of Montana alongside their pups. Watercolor texture is featured throughout the packaging, adding a natural and artisan feel that gives the bright colors even more dimension. The inviting, active imagery and bold logo captured in the silhouette of the state of Montana provides a sense of adventure, which plays off the brand’s tagline: Where Adventure Begins. Each package also highlights key ingredients that are responsibly sourced, and protein that’s sourced in either the West or Mountain West.
