(PRESS RELEASE) TORONTO, ONTARIO — Open Farm (Booth #214), a premium pet food brand committed to raising the bar on pet nutrition, will be debuting its newest launch, Supplements for Dogs, at Global Pet Expo on March 23-25. The Supplements will be available at retail beginning Spring 2022, and previewed in the Open Farm booth alongside its entire 2022 product lineup.

Open Farm Supplements for Dogs (MSRP: $29.99-$34.99) consist of soft chew supplements designed to cater to the needs of dogs at all stages of life. They are made in the USA and contain 100% human-grade, non-GMO and fully traceable ingredients. The 90-count supplements will be available in five variations: Immune, Hip & Joint, Skin & Coat, Calming and Probiotic.

“We’re looking forward to previewing our newest release, Supplements for Dogs, at Global Pet Expo this year,” said Mark Sapir, chief marketing officer at Open Farm. “Supplements are one of the biggest emerging trends we’re seeing right now, and demand from consumers and our retail partners, alike, is high. Our supplements are created specifically to cater to the many different needs of dogs throughout all stages of life, and like all Open Farm products, are fully traceable back to the source. This level of transparency is a first-of-its-kind for the pet supplements category, and reinforces our commitment to meeting the most ethical and sustainable ingredient sourcing standards across our entire product offering.”

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
