(PRESS RELEASE) STAMFORD, CT — The Pet Leadership Council Giving Network launched its online giving portal in partnership with GreaterGood last week. The collaboration helps maximize assistance from the nation’s pet-care community to support animal shelters, sanctuaries and rescue groups in need of pet supplies and other resources throughout the year.
“Through our new Giving Network, we’ve simplified the process of connecting the pet care community to animal shelters in need of life-saving resources,” said PLC chairman Bob Vetere. “GreaterGood.org’s RescueBank is prepared to manage those relationships and efficiently distribute goods when and where they are needed most.”
Corporations can register to become Giving Network partners through PLC’s website. Once you offer goods for donation, GreaterGood will find a match. Partners will also receive periodic updates when animal shelters report a severe need for goods and other resources. This allows partners to quickly respond to crises and get animals the care they deserve.
Connection with GreaterGood.org was instrumental in times of disaster over the last year and a half, such as the case in the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma, Harvey, and Florence, as well as the recent wildfire devastations, but now with the new online Giving Network, efforts will be that much more efficient. It will also remain open 24/7 to support the ongoing needs of animal shelters and rescue groups across the U.S.
