Petcurean was part of the inaugural group of five companies to sign the PSC Packaging Pledge to transition to fully recyclable bags by 2025. Having already switched to Tetra Pak cartons for Go! Solutions and Now Fresh wet food recipes, Petcurean will launch its first recyclable kibble bags this Fall.
SHARE SOME OF YOUR RESPONSIBLE MANUFACTURING STANDARDS AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Petcurean’s Supplier Code of Conduct holds all major suppliers accountable for specific social and environmental performance and has 100% of suppliers signed to-date. Petcurean also ensures that its manufacturing plants meet all regulatory requirements – for example, its plant in Elmira, ON has certification from the EU, FDA, BRC and CFIA.
WHAT ARE YOUR SUSTAINABLE PROTEIN INITIATIVES?
Petcurean’s efforts to advance sustainability also extend to its recipes. Go! Solutions Sensitivities Limited Ingredient Grain-Free Insect
Recipe has significantly less environmental impact than recipes with traditional proteins. Insect proteins, for example, require 80% less water and land in comparison to livestock. Additionally, Petcurean formulates recipes with moderate protein levels, which are also more sustainable.
