Spader Business Management Invites Pet Retailers to Talk Shop at Global Pet Expo

(PRESS RELEASE) Spader Business Management is asking pet retailers — ‘How’s Business?’ This year at the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, FL, Spader wants to talk shop and address pain points for retailers in the pet retail industry. Do you think business can be better? Are there areas in your business that are keeping you up at night? Spader is inviting trade show attendees to Booth #5349 from March 21-23 to discuss solutions and new opportunities.

Spader is also offering sessions with their top facilitators and some of their clients, including Pam Gibson Longwell of Feeders Supply (Northwest Kentucky) and Scott Click of Tomlinson’s Feed and Pets (Central Texas). Click played a significant role in setting up a 20 Group for pet retailers — the only one of its kind in the United States — through Spader Business Management. Spader 20 Group members build trusting relationships with non-competing, like-minded peers. Together, they work through challenges and learn best practices that can be applied to their own operations.

When asked about building relationships within 20 Groups, Click said, “I talk to my group members weekly. If I have an idea for something, thinking I want to do something, I call and talk to them. A couple of them use the same phrase, they say, ‘When they look at your business, they’ll tell you if your baby’s ugly.’ I think that’s very meaningful to be not just critical, but be very objective when we look at each other and talk to each other.

Each and every member of a 20 Group also benefits from a Spader facilitator who has been a business owner or manager, as well as ongoing access to detailed proprietary reports and hard intelligence on group and industry trends.

“I didn’t have expectations going in, because I had no clue what it was going to be. I think that it’s completely revitalized our business. It brought some focus to what is possible,” said Greg Keane, Chow Hound Pet Supplies (Western Michigan). “If you have the opportunity to become involved with the Spader 20 Group, and you listen and go back and make changes in your business, it could change your life.”

Spader Business Management will be at Booth #5349 from March 21-23 during the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, FL.
