The World Pet Association announced Tuesday programming changes to its 2026 GROOM’D and SUPERZOO shows.
All WPA grooming contests will now take place exclusively at GROOM’D, happening Mar. 13-15 in Atlanta, GA. Mike Karsting, senior vice president of WPA, said, “By bringing all grooming competitions under one roof, GROOM’D is strengthening its position as the premier destination for groomers to compete, connect and celebrate their craft.”
An increased prize pool at GROOM’D — which offers grooming contests, education and a marketplace — will now total $29,975 in 2026, “bigger than any other grooming contest in North America,” Karsting said. He also noted that “entry fees are still lower than other competitions, plus all grooming contestants get a three-day GROOM’D show floor pass.”
Grooming programming at SUPERZOO, happening Aug. 12-14 in Las Vegas, NV, will have a stronger focus on partnership and education in 2026 “to further elevate the experience for our exhibitors and the grooming community as a whole,” Karsting said.
A reimagined Groomer’s Marketplace will feature “dynamic, interactive programming aimed at creating stronger connections between exhibitors, attendees and the broader grooming industry.”
The main stage where contests previously took place will now feature sponsored talks and live product demonstrations, which the organization said will:
- Showcase products and innovations directly to engaged audiences
- Strengthen year-over-year exhibitor and attendee participation
- Reach new customer segments, including those not yet involved in grooming education or competition

Also, a new education room on the show floor will be dedicated to showcasing bathing and spa techniques. Karsting said, “These in-depth sessions and interactive demos will spotlight the products, tools and brands that drive innovation in the grooming space.”
