Ziwi’s Newest Products Win Multiple Pet Industry Awards

(PRESS RELEASE) OVERLAND PARK, KS – Ziwi, the New Zealand-based innovator and global leader in air-dried pet nutrition, has received multiple pet industry awards for new products launched in 2018.

The entire Ziwi Peak Free-Range Chicken line, which includes both air-dried and canned wet recipes for cats and dogs, was named an Editors’ Choice Award winner by Pet Product News.

Pet Business magazine honored Ziwi Peak Free-Range Chicken as a 2018 Industry Recognition Award recipient, naming it a standout product in the wet food category for dogs.

Pet Age Magazine Reader’s Choice Awards declared the Air-Dried Chicken recipe to be 2018’s Top Choice in Dog Food and one of the Top Three Cat Foods. Additionally, Ziwi’s new line of air-dried, single-protein chews was named 2018’s Top Choice in dog chews and treats.

Ziwi’s chicken is 100% sourced from free-range New Zealand farms which have been independently audited and certified as humane and cage-free. The air-dried recipes all have extremely high meat/organ/bone content of 96%, with the inclusion of 3% New Zealand Green-Lipped Mussel, a natural source of glucosamine, chondroitin, and omega 3’s. The recipes are free of rendered meats or meals, glycerin, grains, potatoes, peas, lentils, and other legumes. Ziwi Peak wet canned recipes include 91% – 92% meat, organs, bone and Green Mussel.

Ziwi’s new single-protein chews include; Lamb Tripe, Lamb Drumsticks, Lamb Trachea, and Beef Weasand, crafted from grass-fed, grass-finished meats sourced from free-range New Zealand farms.
