Chewy plans to add a corporate office in Seattle and hire for “several hundred” jobs there, GeekWire reports.

The location is expected to open by the end of this year. Roles will be filled in areas such as technology and merchandising.

A company spokesperson told GeekWire: “As a hub for innovation, the Seattle region is a great fit for us in terms of depth and breadth of talent.”

Dania Beach, FL-based Chewy also has corporate offices in Minneapolis and Boston. The company also operates various fulfillment and customer service locations.

In July 2020, the company said it planned to open a fulfillment center in Missouri at a cost of over $143 million. The locations would complement eight other warehouse locations scattered throughout the U.S.
