(PRESS RELEASE) ANNAPOLIS, MD — The Chesapeake Bay Dog Company, makers of the BAYDOG brand of Canine Adventure Gear, has launched an upgraded version of the award-winning Monterey Bay Lifejacket line for the Spring of 2024. The new models are available for pre-order at a 10% discount through February, with an expected delivery date of mid-March.
Company founder and CEO Barton O’Brien stated, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” emphasizing that the Monterey Bay Lifejacket series is a highly successful product line. “I believe that we make the best canine lifejacket in the world, and we don’t want to mess with something we know works.” O’Brien continued, “The changes we made are subtle, mostly cosmetic, with a couple hardware upgrades that enhance performance without altering the basic functionality of the lifejacket.”
Perhaps the most obvious change to the line customers will notice is the launch of the new color, Sunset Pink. “It’s the perfect shade of pink, and the teal trim really accents it well. Overall, it’s a beautiful product, and I’m thrilled to share it with our retail partners,” said BAYDOG Sales Director Kristy Webb. “In fact, this product looks so good I think there will be customers who buy it just for the color!”
“I think what I’m most proud of is that we were able to enhance the product without increasing the price,” said O’Brien. “We heard lots of complaints last year from retail partners about price increases across the industry, but we were able to keep our prices stable, something we plan to continue in 2024.”
Pre-orders for the ’24 model lifejackets are available through all BAYDOG’s wholesale channels, including distribution partners Zeigler’s Distributor in the mid-Atlantic region and Southeast Pet.
