Boss Pet Products Inc., based in Kewanee, IL, has acquired the business assets of Frank Rowe & Son Inc. of Middletown, PA, a wholesale supplier of pet grooming supplies and equipment.
“Frank Rowe & Son has a great reputation and extremely loyal following. The opportunity to bring Frank Rowe together with our existing pet businesses adds a further dimension to our ability to meet the needs of all our professional grooming customers including expanding distribution capacity on the east coast along with our central and west DCs,” said Chris Miller, president of Boss Pet. “We are excited to work with Debbie and Dan Rowe, Frank Rowe & Son’s husband and wife team, to build upon the legacy and brand that they have developed over the years.”
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Boss Pet Products is a subsidiary of Boss Holdings Inc.
The acquisition comes after Frank Rowe & Son had planned to close. The company explained in an Oct. 29 Facebook post:
“We did have offers that would not have kept the business operating as you know it and we decided those offers were not an option. At what seemed like the last minute, we met Chris Miller, President of Boss Pet Products, who saw our vision and worked with us to create a plan to keep the Frank Rowe and Son business going, providing our best customer service, Frank Rowe quality sharpening and repair services, and great sales prices for our customers. Really important to Dan and I is that we are able to keep all of our employees going forward with Frank Rowe and Son.”
