(PRESS RELEASE) Following the award-winning packaging redesigns recently made to their Charlee Bear Original Crunch and Grain Free Crunch dog treat lines, Gott Pet Products introduces a new, tasty option to its portfolio of renowned Charlee Bear treats.

Charlee Bear Grain Free Meaty Bites are the first raw, freeze-dried meat treats infused with superfoods that are actually visible in every piece. Each treat starts with a select cut of raw meat, poultry or fish. Instead of cooking, the treats are simply blended with a raw fruit or vegetable, plus added probiotics, and freeze dried to perfection. Made in the United States by a family-owned company, these natural treats do not contain any wheat, soy, corn, artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.

“We’re very excited to introduce our first-ever freeze dried treat into the line,” comments Patrick McGarry, general manager of Gott Pet Products, parent company of the brand. “Freeze-drying locks in all the nutritional value that was originally present in the treat, making these an extremely healthy alternative for pet parents to feed their dogs.”

The Meaty Bites are available in six delectable flavors for dogs to enjoy, including: Beef Liver & Apples, Beef Liver & Sweet Potatoes, Chicken & Blueberries, Chicken & Cranberries, Lamb & Blueberries, and Salmon & Sweet Potatoes. The suggested retail price for the Meaty Bites is $10.99 for a 2.5-ounce bag and $19.99 for a 5-ounce bag.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
