(PRESS RELEASE) DOGTV, the first television channel designed to relax and entertain canine viewers, has selected its first annual Dog Mom of the Year Recipient. With the help of a panel of five judges, DOGTV selected Marika Meeks of Scottsdale, AZ as their Dog Mom of the Year.
Meeks, the founder of IncrediBull Stella, is Dog Mom not only to her 3-year-old pit bull Stella, but foster mom to at-risk dogs in her community. As a breast cancer survivor, Meeks says she uses her second chance at life to help as many dogs as possible. Meeks literally works 24/7 rescuing dogs and is committed to spay and neuter initiatives in the Phoenix Metro Area and beyond. Meeks’s slogan is “One Dog At A Time”!

After pairing the entries down to the top 20 finalists, DOGTV enlisted the help of industry professionals to help select the grand prize winner. Industry judges included, Carol Bryant, president of the Dog Writers Association and founder of Fidose of Reality, Connie Wilson, CEO and founder of MODERN DOG magazine, Julie Holmes, VP sales Pet Care Division at Unique Manufacturing & Marketing, Paula Munier, author and literary agent and Larry Kay, author and executive producer of Positively Woof.
