Ergonomic Packaging Improvements Make Charlotte’s Web the First Pet Hemp CBD Tincture Dropper to Be BPA-Free Plastic

(PRESS RELEASE) BOULDER, CO — Pet lovers who use Charlotte’s Web’s hemp-extract tinctures in caring for their dogs now have something to positively howl about. The company, the number one hemp CBD wellness brand in the U.S., announced today it ergonomically improved its dispensing format for all of its hemp-extract pet tincture product SKUs. The pet tinctures now feature a new plastic dropper made from BPA-Free polypropylene and featuring graduated markings on the pipette at 0.25mL, 0.5mL, 0.75ml, and 1.0ml to assist in accurate dosing. The re-tooled droppers have been rigorously tested per FDA guidelines for food contact packaging.

“We listen closely to customer and consumer feedback, and that is why we decided to evolve from a pump to a dropper to improve convenience overall,” said Martha Opela, Charlotte’s Web’s marketing director. “We went back to the design drawing board and seized the opportunity to not only make the new dropper even easier to use for pet parents. Using BPA-free plastic is a huge improvement.”

“This new ergonomic dropper design not only makes it easier for pet parents to select the exact amount of tincture to administer to their dog, but the design also reduced the overall weight of the packaging by 42 to 50 percent,” said Kelsey Morrison, Charlotte’s Web’s director of new product development.

Weight reduction in packaging components helps to reduce the overall environmental impact of the product. Furthermore, pet parents can feel confident giving their pups our oil with a safe to use plastic pipette.

Charlotte’ Web’s pet care line continues to gain in popularity with pet parents who want natural wellness solutions for their canine friends.

The renovated and environmentally beneficial new droppers for Charlotte’s Web’s Pet Hemp Extract Tinctures will be on retail shelf in August 2020.
