(PRESS RELEASE) ST. LOUIS – Manna Pro Products, a St. Louis-based manufacturer and marketer of pet care and nutrition, announced a partnership with 4-H, the country’s largest youth development organization. Manna Pro’s commitment to Nurturing Life ties in with 4-H’s commitment to empowering youth with the skills they need to lead in life and career. The partnership celebrates and encourages 4-H’ers to use their “Champion” mentality. To kick off the partnership, Manna Pro launched a virtual mosaic and fundraiser created from thousands of photos from 4-H youth and alumni throughout the U.S. that highlight what it means to be a 4-H champion.

The mosaic photo sweepstakes runs through April 30 and is designed to support 4-H on both a national and state level. The state with the highest rate of participation via photo submissions will receive a scholarship from Manna Pro to support their local 4-H. First place will receive $6,000 and limited-edition Manna Pro champion pins, second place will receive $3,000 and third place will receive $1,000.

In addition to the photo mosaic, Manna Pro is encouraging 4-H youth, alumni and supporters to donate to the organization to help benefit the next generation of leaders. Manna Pro will match all donations to 4-H up to $10,000.

“4-H youth across the country are learning a variety of skills critical to the future of the animal care and agricultural industry,” said Amanda Terbrock, senior brand manager, Manna Pro. “Manna Pro’s mission of Nurturing Life is consistent with 4-H’s goal to encourage young people to reach their fullest potential, in part through care and devotion to pets.”

For more than 100 years, 4-H has led the charge in empowering young people with the skills needed to lead in life and career and inspiring them to improve the world around us.

“Generous partners like Manna Pro that invest in our programs are essential to growing our organization and helping us reach more youth and alumni across the country,” said Heather Elliott, vice president, resource development, 4-H. “We’re excited to unite 4-H’ers from all over the country as they share their unique 4-H experience through their favorite photos in Manna Pro’s mosaic sweepstakes.”

How to Enter the Virtual Photo Mosaic Sweepstakes

Now through April 30, 4-H youth, alumni and supporters can submit one of their favorite photos of their 4-H experience to help build the Manna Pro and 4-H virtual mosaic. Whether it’s a 4-H club photo showcasing an experience or an alumni throwback picture, entrants are asked to demonstrate what it means to be a 4-H champion.

All entrants will receive coupons with up to $50 off Manna Pro products, and those who donate more than $5 will be recognized with an extra $10 off Manna Pro orders of $20 or more.

State chapters with the most submissions will be declared a winner and notified in May.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
