Online Pet Retailer Acquired, Moves Operations

It’s now based in Wichita.

Buddy Brands, a maker of pet products, has purchased SitStay, an e-tailer focused on supplies for therapy and service dogs.

With the acquisition, SitStay has moved to Wichita, KS, from Lincoln, NE, the Silicon Prairie News reports.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Trevor Crotts, president of Buddy Brands, said his company will “operate SitStay somewhat independently,” according to Silicon Prairie News.

He added: “Buddy Brands will retain as much of the staff of SitStay as possible, and continue to build and grow upon its history and values.”

SitStay was founded in 1996.
