(PRESS RELEASE) Pet Palette will be moving in the beginning of June to a new warehouse to double the size of its current warehouse. The move will also streamline the receiving and pick-and-pack process and provide more office space for the growing number of employees. The new location will be 5 miles from the current location. “This will provide increased efficiencies, and more accurate and faster service for our customers. The extra space will also allow us to bring in additional high-demand brands to add to the almost sixty we already have in house,” said Michael Dagne, president and chief operating officer.

Pet Palette also announces they have hired Ron Metzger in the role as vice president of logistics. Metzger’s role will be to oversee the logistics, operations and day-to-day management for Pet Palette, and oversee the smooth transition to the new warehouse. “Ron’s talents with change management, analytics and performance improvements are a perfect match for Pet Palette’s growth needs,” said Dagne. “Ron comes to Pet Palette with a back ground in veterinary distribution and retail management, so we are excited to have him aboard.”

Finally, Pet Palette will be launching a new operating platform based on NetSuite software. The launch will occur in July 2019. Customers and vendors will see many enhanced features, including easier on line ordering and more user friendly integration.

NASC Media Spotlight

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
