(PRESS RELEASE) BELLEVUE, WA – Pet Partners, an organization registering therapy animals for animal-assisted interventions, announced the addition of Katie Kasten to its staff.

Kasten joins the organization as strategic partnerships manager. Her responsibilities will include identifying and stewarding relationships that impact revenue and mission delivery, managing the workplace well-being program on a national level, heading the sponsored visit program and the boosted post program, being liaison with corporate and strategic partners, and supporting fundraising.

“With the expansion of many of our programs, there was a need to create a position dedicated to help manage those programs which we are very excited about,” said Annie Peters, president and CEO of Pet Partners.

“Katie’s experience in project management and marketing makes her a great fit for this position and we are thrilled to have her be part of the team.”

Prior to joining Pet Partners, Kasten was a senior analyst for market strategies where she led research from conception to completion, maintained integrity of data and analysis, developed comprehensive reporting with actionable results, and managed projects.

At first it was just an idea: Animal supplements needed the same quality control that human-grade supplements receive. But that was enough to start a movement and an organization —the National Animal Supplement Council — that would be dedicated to establishing a comprehensive path forward for the animal supplements industry. In this Media Spotlight interview, NASC’s president, Bill Bookout, talks to PETS+ interviewer Chloe DiVita about the industry today: Where it’s headed, what’s the latest focus and why it’s vital to gain the involvement of independent pet product retailers.
