Pets Stolen in 2 Store Burglaries in Hudson Valley, NY

The Wallkill Police Department in New York’s Hudson Valley is investigating two break-ins in which animals were stolen from a Petco store.

The burglaries occurred at 9:30 a.m. on July 16 and 7:09 a.m. on July 19, police said. The target was the Petco at 600 North Galleria Drive.

“Both investigations disclosed that a known suspect forcefully entered the business and stole several animals and various items,” police stated in a press release. Authorities did not disclose the type or number of animals taken.

An investigation is underway, according to the release.

The Wallkill Police Department is being assisted by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and the New York State Police
