(PRESS RELEASE) Raised Right has reimagined dried dog food by combining two ancient methods of food preparation as they’re the first company to create a line of human-grade dog food that’s gently cooked and then air dried. Their unique process begins with gently cooking their food to the lowest temperatures required to kill pathogens. After this step is completed, the food then gets air dried to make it shelf stable. The combination of these food preparation methods has allowed them to create whole food recipes without the need for preservatives, nitrogen flushing, oxygen absorbers, silica gel packets, or refrigeration.
“This new product line was inspired by customers asking us to create a shelf stable version of our frozen gently cooked recipes. Some of these customers are people who frequently travel, some live in areas that are more prone to power outages from natural disasters, and some just prefer the convenience.” – says Braeden Ruud, Co-Founder / CEO of Raised Right.
Raised Right works with veterinarian Dr. Karen Becker to formulate whole food recipes that are high in protein & low in carbs with limited ingredients. Their air dried recipes feature very simple ingredient decks as they each contain just 10 ingredients or less since they have the exact same ingredients as their frozen recipes.
“One of the most unique things about these recipes is that we were able to formulate them to meet AAFCO’s requirements for a complete & balanced diet through using only whole foods without having to add any synthetic vitamins or minerals.” – says Braeden Ruud, Co-Founder / CEO of Raised Right.
Raised Right can proudly make the human-grade pet food claim as every ingredient in their food has passed the same standards necessary for human consumption and their food is made in a USDA inspected human-grade facility. Just like their other products, every single batch they cook gets lab safety tested for pathogens like E. coli, listeria, and salmonella. They also implement rapid swab testing for pathogens during each production run and have a hold release program where they don’t ever ship their food unless it passes the lab safety test. For transparency, they post the results of every lab safety test on their website for everyone to see.
