Conducted in partnership with JSS/Statking Clinical Services, the study determined the main factor that was found to have clinical significance is that dogs developed fewer separation-related problems when dosed between 0.75mg/kg-1.5mg/kg BID. Additional findings from the study include:
- Dogs had clinical improvement (although not statistically) in reducing stranger-directed fear when dosed at 1.5mg/kg BID.
- Dogs had clinical improvement (although not statistically) in reducing dog-directed fear when dosed at 2mg/kg BID.
- The product was extremely well tolerated and there was relatively no difference between adverse events occurring with placebo and treatment (the majority were mild) and there were no severe adverse events during the active treatment phase
- 66.7% said yes to using this product in the future for their dog.
- 77.8% said they would recommend this product to a friend with a dog that has anxiety.
- Greater than half the dogs in the study had clinical improvement in their anxiety
- 55.6% noticed an improvement in their dog’s anxiety throughout the study
