MarketWatch reports that both Chewy Inc. and Freshpet Inc. have recently commented on the woes.

Chewy executives said the supply shortages have been a drag on sales.

Pet food maker Freshpet warned that its revenue for the year will likely be lower than previously anticipated.

He noted that the company has “since solved this issue” but that it “nonetheless caused a temporary decrease in production.”
