True Leaf Launches Product into Burgeoning $2B Global Allergy Market

‘Immune+Allergy’ formulation meets growing demand for support with seasonal allergies in pets.




(PRESS RELEASE) VERNON, CANADA – Trueleaf Petcare Inc. (True Leaf), has launched a new formulation focused on support against seasonal allergies, a common condition among dogs and cats.

Unique to the formulation is an industry-leading amount of ‘quercetin’, a powerful plant-based antioxidant shown to help maintain normal histamine levels. “Pets are commonly affected by seasonal allergies just like people, says Daniela Fischer DVM, True Leaf’s co-founder and chief scientific officer. “Allergy symptoms include scratching and biting the skin, excessive shedding, excessive paw licking, itchy ears and respiratory symptoms including difficulty breathing, coughing and wheezing. Polyphenols or antioxidants from plants, and Omega 3’s, support immune cells and the regulation of the immune system to help keep seasonal allergies at bay.”

Darcy Bomford, True Leaf CEO says “Unique to this product are high inclusions of quercetin and pomegranate, which are incorporated into a blend of cold-pressed hemp seed oil and fish oil, resulting in a full range of omega 3’s and source of polyphenols to support a healthy immune system” The product comes packaged in an amber glass 8oz bottle and carton with a convenient pump for daily use.

The company is also re-launching a line of ‘Active Herbals’, a product line utilizing Mediterranean oil-oforegano and other plant-based active ingredients to support oral health, skin, coat and ear care. Now packaged in attractive cartons and produced in-house, the innovative line is aimed at consumers looking for ‘natural’ options to everyday grooming and oral care.

The company will be launching both product lines at the Global Pet Expo, which takes place March 20- 22 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.
