V-Dog Announces Expansion Plans and Early Product Release

(PRESS RELEASE) SAN FRANCISCO, CA — After 13 years in the USA, v-dog, an environmentally sustainable pet food brand, celebrated Earth Day with an announcement for their plans to expand internationally. The new international sister company, named v-planet, will reflect v-dog’s ethical and sustainable values. The celebration continued closer to home as v-dog released their new Blueberry Wiggle Biscuits ahead of schedule.
“As a team of sustainability advocates, Earth Day is a special time to announce our expansion with sister company v-planet,” said Lindsay Rubin, Vice President of v-planet.
V-planet will launch with vegan kibble, available in two package sizes, 4.5 lb and 15 lb. Their formula features plant-based ingredients like pea protein, lentils, and quinoa, which require fewer natural resources than meat-based counterparts.
The new sister company will also share the same branding and design as v-dog, featuring the signature leaf-eared dog.
V-planet will be made and packaged in Canada and expanding across the globe through distributors that will make the kibble available in pet and grocery stores.
To introduce the company to the world, v-planet will be exhibiting at Interzoo in Nuremberg, Germany (May 8-11) at booth #7-622d in Hall 7. V-planet executives Darren Middlesworth and Fred Krohn will be at the booth to answer questions about the new company.
“Our goals are to make connections with distributors interested in providing their clients with a high-quality, allergen-friendly, alternative dog food,” said Rubin.
Along with the v-planet announcement, v-dog also decided to celebrate Earth Day with an early product release. Originally set to debut in May, the new Blueberry Wiggle Biscuits are now available for purchase. Earth Day is always an important time for v-planet and v-dog as it reflects the companies’ joint mission of minimizing their environmental footprint.
“In addition to offering health benefits such as improved skin and coat conditions and relief from food allergies, vegan diets for dogs eliminate animal suffering while drastically reducing environmental impact,” said Rubin.
The new vegan dog treats are grain-free, non-GMO, and packed with superfoods like coconut, kale, buckwheat, and blueberries. Blueberries are an excellent source of vitamins C and K, antioxidants, and dietary fiber. This is the second v-dog Wiggle Biscuit flavor to debut.
