Why I Wouldn’t Be Upset If This Customer Decided to Shop Elsewhere

I have a customer I call my Thursday Therapy Session. I’m like Lucy from the Peanuts comic strip! He haunts me weekly with tales of his failed marriage, how his kids won’t talk to him, the horrors of his online dating experiences, his dysfunctional relationship with his mom and sisters, how he was ripped off when he bought his house, and so on. Lately, he’s been bringing in bits of his coin collection for “show and tell.” I’m not a first-grade teacher, either! If he decided to shop elsewhere, it wouldn’t break my heart.
