Wilbur-Ellis Acquires Forage Pellet Business of Ametza

VANCOUVER, WA – Wilbur-Ellis Nutrition has acquired the forage pellet business of Ametza LLC.

Ametza is based in Holtville, CA, and manufactures and sells forage pellets for the livestock and companion animal markets through major U.S. retailers.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

“We’re very pleased to expand our forage business with the acquisition of Ametza,” said Andrew Loder, president of Wilbur-Ellis Nutrition. “The expansion complements our current forage manufacturing operations in El Centro, California, located just a few miles from Ametza. Going forward, we expect to leverage our respective capabilities as we continue to invest in this business and grow our presence both domestically and internationally.”

With the acquisition, Wilbur-Ellis will market products under the Ametza brand.

“With Ametza’s strong brand and long-standing relationships with some of the finest retailers in the country, ,” Loder said.

Wilbur-Ellis provides nutrition products for the livestock, pet food and aquaculture industries.

“We’re committed to delivering innovative solutions for our customers,” said Gerardo Quintero, vice president of sales and marketing for the livestock business. “As we work to provide the highest-quality products and excellent service, we’re excited to welcome Ametza – which shares those priorities – to Wilbur-Ellis Nutrition.”
