AKC Canine Retreat’s Rapid Expansion into Manhattan Market

(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK – AKC Pet Care LLC announces the expansion of AKC Canine Retreat as it will officially add five new locations throughout Manhattan in May 2018. Each of AKC Pet Care LLC’s recently acquired SPOT Canine Club will be transformed into industry-leading facilities. All six locations will now operate under the AKC Canine Retreat name.

“This is next step in AKC Canine Retreat becoming the preeminent dog care provider in New York,” said James Tysseling, Chief Operating Officer, AKC Pet Care LLC. “We are excited to bring our ultimate dog experience to dog owners throughout the city.”

Conceived as the ultimate dog experience, the first AKC Canine Retreat opened to overwhelming praise in 2017 in the groundbreaking VIA building at 645 West 57th Street. Offering an unprecedented level of dog care, AKC Canine Retreat has become the new benchmark for excellence. The individual needs of each dog owner and pet are considered in the creation of customized care programs. The professional staff offers daycare, personalized dog walking, expert training, specialty grooming and overnight stays. It leverages AKC Canine Good Citizenprinciples to help dogs navigate the urban landscape. From social play spaces to cozy rest areas,

AKC Canine Retreat offers the best care possible in a safe and nurturing environment, in order to minimize stress of dogs while away from home. In order to provide this experience to more dog owners, AKC Canine Retreat will expand to five additional locations in neighborhoods throughout Manhattan—Chelsea, Tribeca, Upper West Side, Upper East Side and Midtown West. This will enable it to become the fastest growing dog

care facility in the Manhattan.

“The growth of our pet care services in Manhattan is a significant move in establishing this new endeavor. We are excited to expand into these neighborhoods and feel confident that through providing the highest standard of pet care as only the AKC Canine Retreat can offer, we are truly supporting dog owners and their pets,” Tysseling added. “Knowing their dog is enjoying a positive experience gives them much-needed piece of mind.”
